Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club is one of the most prestigious golf clubs in South Africa and has two championship golf courses.
Steeped in history, the club is the product of a merger between Royal Johannesburg Golf Club and Kensington Golf Club.
Both courses are beautifully laid out with lush, sweeping playing areas, quick, undulating greens and fairways lined with a variety of well-established trees including the characteristic poplars that wreak havoc with wayward shots.
The East course has long been regarded as one of the finest tests of golf in South Africa and the West is hardly a pushover, but there's more to RJ&K than two great courses: it was the first 'members club' to be granted Compleat Golfer's 5-Star Golf Experience Award - and for good reason.

The course layout
The East Course is a championship layout that has hosted 7 South African Open Championships, the SA Amateur and numerous other Tour events, as well as the Joburg Open inaugurated at Royal in 2007 and played here again in 2008.
